むかし、まだ、私が子供だった頃、我が家では毎週日曜日に父がケーキを買ってくれて、家族みんなで午後のお茶をする、という習慣がありました。
子供ながらに楽しみにしていました。
ケーキは家の近くにある街のケーキ屋さんへ妹と買いに行きます。
ショートケーキ、モンブラン、プリンアラモード･･･など、今時のケーキのような洒落た名前は付いていませんでしたが、あの頃ケーキ屋さんに行けば売っている普通のケーキでした。
もちろん、最近のパティシェが創り出す芸術的なケーキも素敵だと思います。
技術や想像力の限りを駆使して宝石のような美しいケーキ達を見ていると、うっとりしますよね。
ただ、懐かしいのは「サバラン」。本当はお酒やリキュールのソースでしっとりとさせるのでしょうが、そこのサバランはあまりお酒が強くなくて、子供でも食べられるような優しいケーキでした。
そんな懐かしいケーキに会いました。
そして、懐かしい、午後のお茶をしました。
